Well no indication why the second half of the first set is missing put it does exist on tape because I used to have it! I suppose we just must remain patent? That is why I have to give it only a 3! I clearly remember the Sun coming out for "Help on the way" which was one of the longer performances of that year anyway, along came the squirt guns too!
But more importantly, this is one of the earliest digital recording by an audience member, (not pure but still with a P.C.M.). See my other reviews for more about these awesome (I rarely use that word) shows!

I used to have the soundboard of this show on cassette. Etree lists the soundboard of the complete show (repaired with AUD splices during a few dropouts) in circulation, but it hasn't been posted yet. I'm eagerly awaiting its (supposed) arrival, as this show featured some of the best versions of Let It Grow and HOTW>Slipknot!>Franklin's I have ever heard. VERY electric...
Ahh, SBD finally arrived. Happy, happy, joy, joy, and a big thanks to Jonathan Aizen!

Missing songs are meaningless. Sound quality of this audience recording is outstanding from the early days of digital, mics were in the right place. Good dynamics, solid fat phil a little lacking in the air department but still one of the top aud tapes that I have. Second set is worthwhile and makes a nice 2 disc set.

Yes, it is annoying not to have a whole set, but it must be noted that the 2nd set of this show contains some unique, absolutely sick moments of the boys hitting that place where magic happens. Particularly during the long jam in the second half of Let It Grow. It's dark, it's nuts. It's a place the Dead had never been before. There are serious moments like this strewn about the second set like gems in a bed of plain ole shit that's on a thousand tapes. Worth checking out.
